Simone Marie Butler is a british musician and the current bassist of Primal Scream. She succeeds Mani who leave the band to take part in the Stone Roses reformation.
Biography
She grew up in a musical universe (her father was a musician in several pop bands and her second name came from Lisa Marie Presley, the daugher of Elvis).She started to work in a guitare store in Denmark Street,London where she could meet a lots of musicians,especially Barrie Cadogan. [1] .Before rejoining Bobby Gillespie and the others musicians of Primal Scream, she played bass for several bands, such as Yellowire.
Influences
She has several favourites bass player, such as Simon Gallup,J.JBurnel,Jah Wobble and she mentions the MC5 as one of her favourite band.[2]
