Brian Smith (born 7 July 1967 in Paisley) is a former Scottish racing cyclist turned commentator and manager.

Smith won the professional men's race at the British National Road Race Championships in 1991 and 1994, and was runner-up in 1992 and 1993. He competed for Britain in the 1996 Olympic road race and represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in 1986, 1990 and 1998. He also won the Grand Prix Midtbank in 1994.

Since 2009, he has commentated on cycle racing for British Eurosport. He has also been team manager of the Endura Racing cycling team since 2011. Brian Smith was a friend of Lance Armstrong who he rode with on Motorola and defended Armstrong from the accusations against him, insinuating that a book which suggested Armstrong was doping was a work of fiction.[1] Despite defending him, after Lance lost his titles Smith came out to say he had known Armstrong was doping all along, though did not explain why he had, if that was the case, so vigorously defended him up to that point.[2]
