New page patrol – Survey Invitation

Hello Michitaro! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.

  • If this invitation also appears on other accounts you may have, please complete the survey once only.
  • If this has been sent to you in error and you have never patrolled new pages, please ignore it.

Please click HERE to take part.
Many thanks in advance for providing this essential feedback.

You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey

Infobox Korean Film Template

There is a debate on Template Talk on the topic of merging Infobox Korean Film into the generic Infobox Film category. While it is specifically about Korean cinema, debate on the Japanese and Chinese templates have been brought in as well but currently there are no Japanese or Chinese film editors in the debate. As you are someone from the Japanese cinema task force I would appreciate it if you would take it a look and contribute your thoughts. Thank you.

Hello, Michitaro. You have new messages at De728631's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Takashi Ukaji, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ainu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi

I note you worked on Gochūmon wa Usagi Desu ka?, would you mind taking a brief look at Free! (manga) to see if anything can be added? Thanks In ictu oculi (talk) 06:00, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As I noted on the AfD, I have tried to clean it up and found one, maybe two, new sources. As a frequent participant in AfDs, I am not convinced this should not be deleted, though perhaps you could call it borderline. Perhaps the best option is to userfy until we find out what has happened to the rensai. Michitaro (talk) 14:32, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again, I am grateful for your input, also myself looking at Japanese that seems to be 2 reliable sources, but if you don't mind I would refuse userfying of article, I am not particularly interested in manga and only created it since there was a mismatch between primary in ja.wp and en.wp, plus the other manga of same magazine had articles. I have struck my oppose and consider that the 2 unchallenged sources should be moved, without the artwork which will have to be lost (per my understanding) to a short paragraph perhaps "other manga" in the magazine article under the breakout links to the standalone magazine's more notable manga. I have proposed this on the AfD. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 02:32, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Little help

Hi, I am wikipedian from the bulgarian version of wikipedia. Can you help me with some information. I have a guest from Japan and i want to tell her Welcome to Bulgaria in japanese. How I tell this sentence in japanese and how to pronounce the words. Thank you in advance!--92.247.53.140 (talk) 22:48, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The simplest way is to say, "Yokoso Burugaria e." The pronunciation would be something like "Yohkoso Bulugalia ei." Hope this helps. Michitaro (talk) 08:04, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It`s works. Thank you!--92.247.53.140 (talk) 22:14, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Shahwould

You know that User:Shahwould is a sockpuppet of Hijiri88/elvenscout742/Geoffrey Wordwood/Jubei the samurai/I am not become death/Sarumaru the Poet etc etc etc? 80.79.116.227 (talk) 02:28, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That may be a reasonable suspicion. If you are convinced, feel free to open up a sockpuppet investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations. Michitaro (talk) 02:35, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In other words, you know but you don't care. 80.79.116.227 (talk) 02:52, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, I don't know. Sockpuppet investigations require a lot of evidence. And please refrain from being rude on other people's talk pages.Michitaro (talk) 03:04, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I guess I did what I could. 80.79.116.227 (talk) 03:16, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, you have not done what you could have. I have started several successful SPI's, reviewed many others, and I know what is involved. Just because Shahwould adds macrons and Hijiri88 did too does not prove sockpuppetry. Other users do that too. You need more specific evidence of other editing patterns and relations. Do you have those? I just looked over some of those accounts and I do think an SPI would be difficult: Hijiri88 is not currently blocked, so it's hard to explain the connection between Hijiri and Shahwould suddenly returning to editing on December 29, after once stopping on August 21. Hijiri hasn't edited since October 13, which might be too old for a checkuser, and also doesn't explain why Shahwould stopped on August 21 and started again on December 29. Shahwould seems to have the tendency to create redirects for kanji pages, but Hijiri does not. There has to be more evidence. Do you have any? Michitaro (talk) 04:54, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I guess after three months there is nothing you do. It's the ChrisO/Prioryman story all over again. I don't really care how many accounts he has. I just think it would be nice if he stopped going around outing me. 80.79.116.227 (talk) 05:56, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, all I can say to that is that if you have evidence that Shahwould is outing you like Hijiri88 did, that may be evidence of the same editing pattern which can be used in an SPI. Michitaro (talk) 13:59, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
When you have already have 33 accounts, what’s one more or less? That’s the way I look at it. 80.79.116.243 (talk) 11:19, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
