Selim III. was in mevlevi order???

Selim III. composed Suzidilara maevlevi ayin, however he was neither one of the mevlevi dervishes nor a Dede in mevlevi order. He only attended the speechs of Seyh Galip and felt affection to mevlevi order. However, I say again, he was not a mevlevi dervish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.122.1.201 (talk) 17:30, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

two versions of the murder?

The two "versions" of the murder given in the article appear to be exactly the same, save that the second one is more detailed. They also refer to the same general by two different names for no apparent reason. Needs to be fixed. john k (talk) 15:00, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Murder by "assassins"

This is blatantly wrong. He was murdered on the orders of Mustafa IV. Also he was murdered by palace officials (M. Şükrü Hanioğlu - A Brief History of the Late Ottoman Empire p 54-56)
