Please correct any errors of language. I speak German better than English but do not want to restrict my work on the German language wikipedia. Thanks! Besserwissi

St. Pauli is definitely not one of the poor districts in Germany. The average rent is way above the average of Hamburg. St. Pauli has become very polished during the last 20 years. This article does not cover the strong presence of night clubs in that area. Usually when you go out in Hamburg you go to or close to the St. Pauli Area. Even though the presence of Prostitution, Drugs and Violence is extremely high in this area, St. Pauli is one of the "hip" districts in Hamburg.

No references in the History section

This section of the article doesn't cite any references. Also, what does the author mean by "social fights"?!

deleting of not corrct or not cited statements

  • del: The district is nowadays one of the poorest in former West Germany.

This is not correct: In 2004 the inhabitants depending on social welfare are 11.3% (in the borough Hamburg-Mitte 11.3% (rich Altona borough 6.1%)). Unemployed were in 2006 11.1% (Hamburg-Mitte 10.4% (Altona borough 7.6%)). Inhabitants of the quarter St. Pauli earned in 1995 41,645 DM p.a. (Hamburg-Mitte 53,702 DM, Hamburg-Nord 65,475 DM, Altona 75,345 DM) In 2006 welfare paid according to the new law (Hartz IV) St. Pauli 18.5& (Hamburg-Mitte 18.4% Altona 10.6%). So the total borough of Hamburg-Mitte is poor nowadays ? This is a strong WP:POV, isn't it?

  • del: The band have a disproportionately high number of fans in Germany. Citation ?
  • del: St. Pauli is known as well as a centre for the German punk movement. Citation?
