Goibibo is a B2C online travel aggregator, headquartered at Gurgaon, India. Goibibo is a part of ibibo group[1] travel organisation that was founded by Ashish Kashyap[2] in 2007.
Goibibo.com was organically developed and launched by ibiboGroup in 2009. The platform enables travellers to search, compare and buy from across categories and width of travel suppliers comprising: air tickets, hotels & bus tickets. Goibibo's core value differentiator is delivery of the fastest and most trusted user experience, be it in terms of quickest search and checkout flow; fast payments, settlement and refund processes.[3] Goibibo can be accessed via mobile app and available on iOS,[4] Android[5] and Windows[6]
History and Growth
Goibibo was launched in 2009. The founding team comprised Ashish Kashyap (Founder & CEO of ibiboGroup), Sanjay Bhasin (CEO of Goibibo), Deepak Tuli (COO of Goibibo), Vikalp Sahni (CTO of Goibibo).[7]
- During the launch year, the business focussed on only Domestic air segment.
- In April 2012 the platform launched Hotels[8] and International air tickets.[9]
- In March 2013 the platform introduced mobile apps on Android.[10]
- In June 2013 the mobile app was extended to iOS.[11]
- In July 2013 flight advise was introduced.[12]
- In November 2011 the business introduced bus ticketing.[13]
- In 2013, ibiboGroup acquired redBus.in.[14]
- In Jan 2014 the business introduced GoCash wallet.[15]

Flights
Goibibo enable consumers to search across major international and domestic routes. Consumers can search, compare and easily book from hundreds of airlines. Goibibo has real time integrations with all domestic airlines and international airlines.
Hotels
The travel portal offers hotel bookings under different categories comprising budget as well as luxury. Customers can benefit from real time booking services,[16] instant refunds, cancellation and rescheduling among many other simplified booking options.
Mobile App
One of the top ranked app[17] on iOS, Android and Windows Consumers can download the apps for free and book flights, hotels and buses on the go.
GoCash
This is a wallet platform of Goibibo. This enables users to get instant refunds[18]
Mobile First
Goibibo has launched a range of personalization tools called mobile first developments[19]
- Checklist - Available on both Android and iOS apps, users can create travel plans and can access organized travel checklist.
- Fare Alerts - The users can keep track of fluctuating airfares. It also sends periodic push notifications.
- GoFastpay - Bank card information and net banking information is stored in a secure way. The user can save multiple payment modes.
- Hotel Shortlist - Users can shortlist their favorite hotels on search results page.
- Mobile Sync - This feature helps users make bookings from desktop onto mobile. The company says that 60% of their customers love to do this.
- Weather forecast - Helps the users get the weather information.
