Marcus Lloyd Butler is a British internet personality and vlogger. He is best known for his YouTube channel Marcus Butler TV.

Career

Butler started on YouTube creating music mixes and edited sports footage while in college.[1][2] In 2010 he created his YouTube channel, Marcus Butler TV, at viewer request.[1][2] Butler has done a number of collaborations with other YouTubers, including: Jim Chapman, Alfie Deyes, Caspar Lee, Tyler Oakley, Joe Sugg, Zoe Sugg, and many others.[3][4] He was part of the 'YouTube Boyband' that raised money for Comic Relief and was featured in The Guardian.[5][6][7]

In 2013, Butler was a member of the "Guinness World Records OMG!" YouTube channel and holds the world record for "Most bangles put on in 30 seconds by a team of two", along with YouTubers Alfie Deyes and 'Laurbubble'.[8]

As of September 2014, Bulters's main YouTube channel has over 3 million subscribers and over 150 million video views, and is the 188th most subscribed channel on the website; his second channel "MoreMarcus" has over 1 million subscribers and over 40 million video views.[1][2][9][10][11] Butler is influential through social media, being mentioned by The Telegraph as one of "Britain's most influential Tweeters" in 2013.[12] As of August 2014, Bulter has over 1.5 million followers on Twitter and over 1.4 million on Instagram.[1][9]

Personal life

Butler is dating and living with YouTuber Niomi Smart, in Brighton, England.[13]
