Francis Agoda (born April 4, 1979), popularly known as I Go Dye or I Go Die, is a Nigerian comedian.[1]

Biography

Early life

Francis Agoda, better known as I Go Dye, was born in the late 70s in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State Nigeria. He attended Ighogbadu primary school and College Of Commerce secondary school, Warri Delta state At an early age he invented a flying helicopter, a hover craft ship, a radio transmitter and a battery table fan. These inventions earned him a scholarship to study structural engineering at a university in New York but unfortunetly he declined the offer, a decision that was frowned against by his family.

I Go Dye believed there was so much fulfillment in following his dreams, irrespective of the low income comedians that were earning in Nigeria at that time. However, he was the zonal project manager of Junior Engineering Technical Society (JET Club) College Of Commerce. His passion for comedy was questionable because comedy was alien to his society, let alone being seen as a means to archiving lively-hood. He was also the Programme Director of Press Literary Art Drama Debating Society (PLADDS) in the course of explaining the hypothesis involved in the production of his inventions, during project exhibitions, and involving other students from different schools. The young I Go Dye was a delight on stage, his explanations mersmerized the entire student body and invited delegates who were always laughing uncontrollably each time he explained his theory. Subsequently, he was invited to join PLADDS club because of his potentials.[2]
