About me
Hello,
I'm a Wikipedia Administrator and I edit in my spare time. I like to read, write code, and play video games. I am working on my bachelor's in computer science and I am an active duty programmer in the Air Force.
I'm pro- just about everything related to a person's freedoms. I strongly believe in Liberty. I don't really fall behind a party line. Most of all, I am pro- opposing viewpoints and public debate. I think understanding and respecting your opponent in any controversial topic is the first step toward resolution. However, I am strongly against the dishonest, deceitful, disrespectful and righteous attitudes of advocacy groups. I will stand up for honesty in the face of POV-pushing, even if I agree with the POV. I generally ignore the righteous causes of others who believe so firmly in themselves that they are void of reason and discussion and will resort to the name calling, labeling, and abusive behaviors they accuse others of.
The problem with the world, as I see it, is that everyone views it as a battleground. Advocates are the warriors in that battleground. I like a little more sensibility and respect for opponents. That isn't to say I have exhaustive patience, only that I prefer to see disputes progress toward resolution through collaboration. And I absolutely hate arrogance to the level that no respect is shown for an opponent's ideas because of a self-righteous belief in being the only correct point of view.
I am known as TParis00ap on Meta and other language wikipedias. I also have an alternate account called User:TParis-alt.
I also recently found out that Java and Javascript are the same thing wiktionary:Java. We need to update Wikipedia's article on Java immediately.
Thanks for reading!

Disclaimer
I do not edit on behalf of the United States Government or the United States Air Force. In my spare time, I may edit from a government computer per regulations on social media websites. If that is the case, HTTP logs may show I am editing from a government or USAF IP Address. If I am ever approached to edit on behalf of the US Government or USAF, I will create a separate account and identify its purpose and conflict of interest as such.
I do not speak on behalf of the US Government, the US Department of Defense, nor the US Air Force. Any opinion I give is my own personal opinion and does not reflect my professional opinion, the views of my fellow service members, or chain of command.
I'm not a "paid editor"
Several users have accused me of being a paid editor:
- have you at any time disclosed in this discussion...that you yourself have been a paid advocacy editor"
- "you keep changing your story and coming up with new excuses for the things you do. First you said there was no paid editing. Now that's inoperative."
- "Reminder...It's at the top of this page, but I think that editors need to be reminded of this. The COI guideline says "Any editor who discusses proposed changes to WP:COI or to any conflict of interest policy or guideline, should disclose in that discussion if he or she has been paid to edit on Wikipedia."
- "I also think that your own record, as a person who has done what you have described as a "form of paid editing," is such that you really are conflicted"
- "Your position seems to be "he doesn't have to respect this guideline because it's not a policy."
- "How does it "improve the project" for any editor, but especially an administrator, to ignore a guideline?"
- "there is no way to force anybody to declare that obvious conflict of interest, but I think people should be aware of it"
- "unless I've missed something, it looks like this part of WP:COI is not being followed. More specifically, an editor who declared elsewhere on Wikipedia that he was a paid editor is currently editing here."
- "Yeah, I have a suggestion, which is that you read what I posted on your talk page about the disclosure required by this guideline."
- "I know at least one administrator who firmly rejects the Terms of Use in its new provision requiring disclosure of paid editing."
Let me be clear I am not now nor have I ever been a paid editor. Not a single edit of mine received financial or otherwise any form of compensation. These editors have never demonstrated any proof of paid editing, I reject the term. 0 out of my 25,000+ edits were paid. It is pure and simple retaliation because I disagree with extremist anti-COI viewpoints based in naive idealism. I believe that the attitudes of certain editors will drive COI editing underground and make it more difficult, rather than easier, to maintain a NPOV encyclopedia. These ad hominem attacks against me are untrue. These are a shallow attempt to discredit me rather than addressing my central point. I am not a paid editor.
Guiding principle
Matthew 22:36-40: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
