Federica Brignone (born 14 July 1990) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Italy. Born in Milan, Lombardy, her mother is Maria Rosa Quario, a former World Cup racer in the early 1980s who had 4 World Cup wins and 15 podiums, all in slalom.[1]
Brignone made her World Cup debut in December 2007 at age 17, and her first full season on the World Cup circuit was in 2010. At her first World Championships in 2011, Brignone won the silver medal in the giant slalom. In December 2012, Brignone underwent surgery on her right ankle to remove a bothersome cyst[2] and missed the rest of the 2013 season. Through November 2014, she has seven World Cup podiums, all in giant slalom.
