Outdated pictures

The aerial view and the airport diagram are obviously old and outdated. They do not show the airport's new second runway, which can be seen on Google Earth and other satellite picture sites and services. If someone has better, more up-to-date public/GPL pictures, please upload them. --UrsoBR (talk) 03:39, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear UrsoBR, Since July 2009 I have been trying to update the articles of Brazilian airports in the English Wikipedia, upgrading them to C class, and using as clear criteria the content suggestions found on Wikipedia:WikiProject Airports. This is why you will notice that the contents of the so far 179 articles available are harmonized. One of my greatest difficulty is that articles in Portuguese tend to follow different principles, lacking references and objectivity and many times concentrating in aviation curiosity or trivia, and not on basic important information about the facility. This is not good or bad; it is just that the articles in English and Portuguese do not always mirror each other because, they try to stress different types of information. Brasília airport was no exception. Previously the article was a bad unsourced translation of the article in Portuguese. I did my best to change that, even though sources were not easy to find. In this specific case, it is hard to discuss criteria and changes that are not clearly stated. However, it seems, your suggestion is to add the table above to the article. I bring to your attention one difficulty: this type of information has to be constantly updated and unless this is done, the bad will be greater than the good. Furthermore, 'less notable or unsourced events from the list' is vague (which events? which list?); 'the years are missing from the copied elements' (which years? which copied elements?) As a counter suggestion to your idea, I would encourage starting an article on its own, much easier to update and watch, and that would concentrate in one place this information. You can follow the example set by List of the busiest airports in Brazil, regularly updated by the same editor. Best Regards, (Brunoptsem (talk) 16:31, 19 August 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Future developments?

This section should be removed...the World Cup is gone and all expansions were actually carried by the concessionaire. Jgsodre (talk) 03:25, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
