  • Has anyone raised the idea that the Cité radieuse, Marseille was the inspiration for the book? It seems to match the fictional block described very well (see Unité d'Habitation), having unusually middle class residents and diverse facilities (including a restaurant), in contrast to most subsequent high rises

Dredd

It seems fairly clear that the book influenced John Wagner when he was creating Judge Dredd - this and Concrete Island - but surprisingly I can't find a good source, and I've thrown away my copy of Judge Dredd: The Mega-History.
