Złota 44 is a residential skyscraper (192 meters high, 52 stories) under construction in central Warsaw, Poland. It was designed by Polish-born American architect Daniel Libeskind and Polish architects Artchitecture and is the tallest pure residential tower in the European Union and the third tallest skyscraper in Warsaw.[1] The building was originally developed by Orco Property Group and was sold to Amstar and BBI Development in August 2014 for 63 million EUR.[2] Amstar and BBI will finish the project and deliver 266 luxury units to the market.[3]
Złota 44 has a prime, city centre location in downtown Warsaw and is directly adjacent to the city's premier retail offerings, office buildings and fine dining restaurants. The prime residential tower offers residents elegant and open living spaces with panoramic views of the city. Its unparalleled five-star amenities will include a state-of-the-art fitness centre, 25-metre swimming pool, private cinema, business centre, wine cellar and 24-hour concierge services.[4]
The name Złota 44 comes from the building's pre-war address, which was completely destroyed during World War II. Złota means "Gold" in Polish and the number 44 has a special connotation in Poland, representing the Warsaw uprising in 1944.
