you unlinked SH 2, I think it has wiki page.--Vin09 (talk) 07:25, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your wikification led to a disambiguation page, SH 2, hence unlinked as only in rare and exceptional cases they may be added. Did you meant this one: State Highway 2 (Andhra Pradesh), if so you may wikify properly. Thanks. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 07:31, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A Small Help

Shaane Khan (talk) 10:31, 21 June 2014 (UTC)Hello bala. I was recently editing , fixing and decorating the pageShram Shakti Express and i lost the train schedule . would you like to help me recover it?[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lucknow Rajdhani Express, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Express (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

13:14:04, 1 July 2014 review of submission by Jds319

I recently submitted a article on the subject of Dr. Parviz Kambin. I included references, web links and photos. The article was rejected on the basis that the references were not verifiable. All of the references I sighted are published and subject to peer review. Please advise as to how I can meet your requirements. If you could site which references are not verifiable I will be more that happy to correct them. Your consideration and efforts in this matter are greatly appreciated.

Jds319 (talk) 13:14, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Jds319, the references must be verifiable, see WP:VERIFY. For example, consider this reference from the AfC in-process: Savitz M.D., Martin (2005). The Practice of Minimally Invasive Spinal Technique (2005 ed.). AAMISS PRESS. p. 581. How could it be verified? --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 14:21, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think you have probably misunderstood WP:V (0.95 probability), and need to revisit it. The policy says, in a nutshell, "Readers must be able to check that Wikipedia articles are not just made up. This means that all quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation." What it does not say is that the references themselves must be verifiable, unless you can show me in the policy where I am mistaken (I have been mistaken in the past over things and will be mistaken again). It is sufficient to use a reference that is in a reliable source, independent of the entity being referenced, that is significant coverage. That 'someone can check' is enough, so there must be enough detail for someone to track the source down.
It's ideal to have an online version, but not required. My view is that Jds319 does not need to scan the references in, though it would be ideal to have a link to an online version (optional). All they have to do is to show the provenance of the reference sufficient to confirm that it passes WP:RS (etc). Fiddle Faddle 17:40, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If I were to scan pages supporting these claims and created links to them would that clear up the matter? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jds319 (talkcontribs) 16:47, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Bluegrass Cellular Sources

Hi -

Thanks for taking time to review my submission.

I was hoping to get additional insight into your comment: "Needs additional sources" on the Bluegrass Cellular draft (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Bluegrass_Cellular).

Is there a specific area in the submission that you feel is under-sourced? Maybe I just need a fresh set of eyes.

Thanks!

your edits removal in kolkata, Sealdah and Asansol railway station

Shaane Khan (talk) 12:48, 6 July 2014 (UTC)Hello Bala. I have noticed your revertion of edits in the above mentioned station. I just wanted to know that is it prohibited to mention the name in Bengali since it is the official second language of the state. Thanks[reply]

Dear Shaane Khan, please read WP:INDICSCRIPT regarding your query. BTW, signatures should be placed at the end of the statement only.  Thank you very much! --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 18:00, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Shaane Khan (talk) 08:27, 7 July 2014 (UTC) Thanks for your information. But according to WP:INDICSCRIPT most of the railway stations of south India contains regional script and that should be removed. Thanks.[reply]

Dear Shaane Khan, i tried my best to remove those things from lead, but either some IP or an user keeps adding it. If you see indicscripts on lead, go ahead and remove, but don't forget to quote the policy in concerned talk page or in edit summary. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 12:32, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Editing of an article

Hello Bala blitz, I have seen your edit made on my edited article. It's regarding the change of names of Railway Station, Trains leaving from Howrah and Sealdah Railway Station. The names of including former and other Railway Stations in WB. And its about about the edit on Calcutta International School, IIST in kolkata and an edit on Darjelling and doars related topic. It is the state of Bengal, where the offical and state language to be followed is Bengali. So, editing the title on such reviews is very dissapointing to me. Creating a page related to WB or kolkata related topics should be in Bengali and also an alt. language of English should be implented. The people of Bengal doesn't want to follow other languages other than English and Bengali. As India has no national language. Writing or editing a page in Bengali has to do everything to the people of Bengal. Sincerely yours, Sarupbiswas (Sarupbiswas (talk) 06:58, 7 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Shaane Khan (talk) 08:24, 7 July 2014 (UTC) Hello Sarup Biswas. I have also talked to Bala regarding the removal of your edits but according to WP:INDICSCRIPT the regional language must be placed below the definition and not in the heading. I hope you understood what i said. Thanks .[reply]

Dear Sarupbiswas, read the policy quoted above by Shaane Khan before you attempt to edit on English Wikipedia. If you do editing in Bengali language, we have Bengali Wikipedia. You may edit and converse in Bengali itself, this is english wikipedia so all stuffs in english only. Languages/scripts other than english are applicable/permitted subjected to policies and guidelines. For more you may visit WP:TEAHOUSE. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 12:41, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i edited Ramganj Mandi railway station but after 1hr all my data was deleted.what was exact problem — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.205.11.12 (talk) 14:11, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Though i have explained in edit summary, you may look at page history for that. Also see WP:CRYSTAL and WP:NOT. for more on that. Even if you are incorporating some information which is yet to happen in future, should supported by verifiable and reliable source. Bandra Terminus, which is far away about 800km, could be as nearby junction? Or a station like Jhalawar City railway station, which is awfully 27kms away could be considered as nearby local railway station? Wikipedia is a rapidly developing online encyclopedia, but it has standards and guidelines set in order to achieve an reliable one-stop-source for finding/knowing an information. Hence we need to contribute with common sense also, unlike an election promise to obtain vote. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 05:19, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Raj Bhavan darjeerling

have you seen the Infobox of Rajbhavan (West Bengal)/ Kolkata? try to compare with infobox of Rajbhavan Darjeerling ...well its same .... I think someone must have copy and past the infobox from Rajbhavan (West Bengal)/ Kolkata to Rajbhavan darjeerling. that is why I have remove it from Rajbavan Darjeerling ... but you reverted my post... and put back the infobox in Rajbhavan Darjeerling with all wrong information.

Talk page archieves

Isn't reflecting in the archive box when simgabot archives, can't find them.--Vin09 (talk) 06:25, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Vin09, i tried to fix the issue a li'l bit to my level best, as there was diplay of archives for archive 2 - 10 as blank. Earlier, when i was trying to archive my talk page, the bot one was hard to understand for mine (may be lack of patience), hence i went for manual archive process limiting myself to archive 10 discussion as standard and uniform way. Hence either you may go manual way, or contact the operator/monitor of the bot else contact any sysop or Teahouse for help. Wish the issue resolved in better way. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 12:38, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Structure for train station articles

Hi there, thanks for pitching in your help with regards to the recent new train station articles I've been creating. From what I've studied so far, there seems apparently no definite or regulated structure when it comes to the article body in most of the railway station wikis in India, except for the NTT rule which some editors enforce. So its kind of difficult to what kind of information must be incorporated to make for a wholesome article. I've been trying to adopt a style that bears resemblance to a few railway stations in Kerala such as the Ernakulam railway station and the Kollam Junction of course subject to the availability of information to add to. So, it would be helpful if you could offer some suggestions on how to go about with these articles, and how to improve the existing ones. Regards. --CuCl2 (chat spy acquaint) 15:09, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox help

Please help in defining the correct meaning for Settlement type option in Infobox. Some write it as Municipality, Corporation and some mention it as City, Town or Metro. Which is correct? What is the exact definition?--Vin09 (talk) 19:23, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it depends upon the place. A place can be defined as Municipality or Corporation or City or whatever based on official records only, if such isn't available it can be classified based on demography. If you face conflict with other editors over this, you may place {{Clarify}} or {{citation needed}} tags. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 20:20, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Krishna Canal railway station is in which division? India rail info states it is in Vijayawada. The wiki page states Guntur. Can you help?.--Vin09 (talk) 18:58, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Vin09, as per the official website, the station is in Vijayawada railway division only and doesn't belong to Guntur railway division. Hence you may remove your edit. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 19:52, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Secunderabad Mumbai Duronto Express

Could you take a look at Secunderabad Mumbai Duronto Express. I have just revamped the article but i do know that one way or another there will still be short comings there but i am more troubled by another user's actions which i believe are working towards reducing the information available on the article. I am not at all convinced by the reasoning (but the user seems to be an expert at quoting one policy or another but being unable to see things right in front of the nose).

I could really use your help there. Sorry to bother you.

Questions regarding new Article about Ecovillage Sieben Linden

Hey Balablitz, thanks for your numerous contributions and keen eyes. About the article that you reviewed at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Sieben_Linden_Ecovillage . As far as I understand, you do not find the sources verifiable/trustable. The ecovillage Sieben Linden is one of the biggest showcase of its kind in Germany and I found the author did pay attention to the sources (although content-wise there are improvements possible, see e.g. the Ecovillage Findhorn page). What could I do to improve the situation? Note that I AM biased (living in that very village) and find there should be information about Sieben Linden, as we try to inspire people worldwide to make this planet a better place to live at. Thanks, Felix — Preceding unsigned comment added by Felix.wolfsteller (talkcontribs) 06:47, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Balablitz. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular.

The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered.

If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.)

If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using {{db-g12|url=URL of source}}. If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with {{subst:copyvio|url=URL of source}}.

Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors.

I hope this message finds you well and thanks again you for your efforts in this area. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC).[reply]
