Royal Albanian Army

The Albanian Barnstar of National Merit
Thanks for the great quality image you created! Vinie007 15:54, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
this WikiAward was given to Addihockey10 by Vinie007 on 15:54, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Could you do me an other favor? Can you also vectorise File:Coat of arms of the Albanian Kingdom.png --Vinie007 16:03, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I don't think I can vectorize that one because of the cape:). Here is a better version if it helps [1]. I recommend you to post it at graphic lab or at Sodacan's request page.

Ok, could you help me with this, i cant fix the coloring of vector file and its tekst, and maybe you can make it a big bigger --Vinie007 17:29, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is all I can do UT_Logo1.svg. It will be deleted in an hour. Search for some tutorials about Inkscape. Also I think licensing of this file is not correct UT_Logo.svg.

File:InCopy CS5 256x256.svg

Hi, can you upload the new version also on commons (since this version should be deleted since I tagged it for removal). mabdul 20:31, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding more use rationales to a non-free image

Hello.

Thanks for your edits in File:Excel 2010.png. Next time you wanted to added multiple use rationales to an image, please consider using on {{Non-free image data}} and multiple {{Non-free image rationale}}.

Please compare your own edit with this edit.

Fleet Command (talk) 08:51, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know about this. I did the edits by looking to File:Office Excel 2010.jpg, which was the image used in articles before my edits. Thanks a lot! OCK (t·c) 12:31, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lunar eclipse animation

I added your animation to the article gallery at June 2011 lunar eclipse. It would be good to add a city and country location. Tom Ruen (talk) 19:42, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In source images I used, this being one of them, location is written as 47°2′44.27″N 5°11′40.4″E / 47.0456306°N 5.194556°E / 47.0456306; 5.194556. So it is Pagny-le-Château, France. OCK (t·c) 19:55, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I checked the population is so less (491) so better use the region which is Burgundy. OCK (t·c) 20:03, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

thank you so much!

You do beautiful work, do you take requests? Also, I thought your name sounded Turkish, so I looked at your userpage. I really like your ideas. Since I was a kid, I wanted to go to Cyprus, it sounds beautiful with great history and delicious-sounding food. But it has a sad history the last few years, so I like your outlook. Anyway, thank you again!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 11:58, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I don't like taking requests. Requests would force me to do it, but I am not that good. I might not be able to trace some images. I can only do the simple looking ones. I never left Cyprus but I will need to leave as soon after I graduate from university because of the mandatory military service. Not only last few years actually, we never had a good time since 1960, and the country is divided since 1974. I hope a solution will be found to our problem. OCK (t·c) 14:19, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I meant like the last 50 out of 6000 years of history as "a few", sorry. No disrespect meant. I have three simple looking ones, you don't have to do them, but at least please look at them? :)
That's it and I wish you peace, joy and safety!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 15:02, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Since all of them are about Cyprus, and they are simple, I will do them. OCK (t·c) 16:42, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 17:23, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First one is done: Girl Guides Association of Cyprus.svg. OCK (t·c) 18:34, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's brilliant, you really do them justice!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 03:30, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Second one is done too: Scouts of Northern Cyprus.svg

Third one is done too :): Cyprus Scouts Association.svg
Those are fantastic! You do credit to them and to your nation, the whole of it! Thank you so much--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 12:18, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

now you have me interested in Cyprus...

My father's a cop, so I found this File:Cyprus police logo.jpg--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 12:25, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nice that you're interested :). Since image is low resolution the bird is so hard to trace, still I will try to do it. OCK (t·c) 15:46, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Cyprus Police.svg. Beak of the bird can be improved though. :) OCK (t·c) 00:42, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Are you sure you can mark it pd=self on commons?--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 13:39, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not really, but I have seen examples. Category:Police_insignia and this Cyprus_Coat_of_Arms.svg. It is government emblem at the end. OCK (t·c) 18:21, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's good logic, hadn't thought of that!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 08:31, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Someone has deleted the image without notifying me. I guess it was in fair use. Files listed in that category is either a picture of the insignia or the government has put them to public domain. I will upload it to enwiki. OCK (t·c) 18:55, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GIF animation of Lunar eclipse on 2011 June 15

I made a gallery for the lunar eclipse article, but I did not add this. I find that the exposure changes make the image confusing. The final images appear too dim, making me think that they represent the total eclipse. In fact it took me a while to realize that this was an animation of the shadow leaving the moon after the total eclipse has already ended. If it's confusing to me I think it would be confusing to most people. :) Either way, it is very beautiful. --TimL (talk) 01:08, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I too did not know that the images were taken after the total eclipse has already ended. The images were not mine. I realized that after I completed the animation. If there is a better source images I can make another animation. Maybe before eclipse ended this time :). I can say the images I used for that animation is the highest resolution images I could find on commons. OCK (t·c) 19:50, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I had no idea this was a synthesis of images form the commons (I probably didn't read something). The resolution is fine! The only problem is that the animation starts after the total eclipse. I'm very tired at the moment, but I'll look at how you created this and see if there is a better way to make the animation. Either way thanks for the effort! It's not a bad animation at all, it's just the timing that is confusing. --TimL (talk) 03:24, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the images I used: Here is the bigger version of the animation, which is not good to be used in articles. OCK (t·c) 13:51, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I see the problem. The uploader of these images chose to upload a series of images from after the end of a total eclipse. Not very useful. Maybe that was the only part of eclipse visible to him. But IMO they have little value. All they show is the umbra leaving the moon after a total eclipse. --TimL (talk) 03:55, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I hope your loved ones are okay.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 14:05, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the late response. Yes, they are good. Actually we, people in north, were not affected at all. But I feel bad about the people in south of Cyprus. Many things happened because of the explosions. Their biggest power plant is completely out of function. They bought many generators to keep up with the demand. But still they have cuts everyday. We had cuts last year and years before. This year as they say we have more than enough power. As a result about 10% of energy of south is bought from the energy company in north. This also affected the politicians in south. It is said that the politicians already knew about the dangerous explosives and did nothing about it. OCK (t·c) 20:15, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

new one for you if you can

Could you vectorize File:President's Award (Cyprus Scouts Association).png? Thank you!--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 06:48, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This looks hard. I hardly distinguish the head of the bird. This will be in my list but this is my last semester in the university and for a couple of weeks I will be busy writing reports. Feel free to remind this to me in the upcoming months. You be sure that I will do it when I have time. Take care. OCK (t·c) 18:58, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Actually you can cheat using  ;)--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 15:56, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not that similar. It will take at least 10 hours. :) OCK (t·c) 21:53, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 22:25, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Hey, I noticed that you have vectorized this image. I greatly appreciate your work and I would like to ask you vectorize this image as well, if possible:

Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia

Thank you in advance.--Yerevanci (talk) 23:07, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I cannot help you with that logo since I don't have any knowledge with the scripts used in the logo. I suggest you to make a request on Wikipedia:Graphic Lab/Illustration Workshop. I also suggest you to add the text in the logo as it will help the graphists to vectorize it. OCK (t·c) 23:29, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for responding. What if I give you the text, would you be able to create it?
The top line is in Armenian and it reads:
Հայաստանի
Ազատագրութեան
Հայ Գաղտնի Բանակ
And the one under it is in Arabic and it reads: الجيش السري الأرمني لتحرير أرمينيا
And if not, that's OK, I'll request it there.--Yerevanci (talk) 23:37, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think I will be able to do it. Armenian text in the logo looks like it was hand written. So the text should be drawn by hand. Considering the quality of the image it is pretty much impossible to be done by people not knowing the script. OCK (t·c) 00:06, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't the program you use to make .svg files read Armenian script? By the way, what program do you use for that? I wanna try to do it myself.--Yerevanci (talk) 00:12, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I use Inkscape. It doesn't actually read anything. You can use fonts but since it is handwritten you have to trace the writing by hand. OCK (t·c) 00:27, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks.--Yerevanci (talk) 00:29, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

SVG creation

Hi there,

back then you vectorized [2] from my PNG version. I just added new data to my google spreadsheet [3]. I have no knowledge of SVG creation, so: Is there an easy way to get the data into an SVG to update your version? Is there anything I could do? --Windharp (talk) 18:27, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have seen that you took car eof the Monster logo few years ago. However this logo has changed in July 214. I have uploaded it in Wikimedia Commons but it has been marked as a possible copyright violation. I have specified that it was not my own work etc... I have changed logo in the pages concerned and then I have seen your page File:Monster Logo.svg. Do I need to upload the new logo here as well? Thanks for your feedback Kelly Lawson23 (talk) 10:21, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Having it in commons should be enough. Monster Logo.svg is non-free, so it will automatically be marked for deletion when no article links to it (i.e. now). You might want to use it in history section of the Monster.com article if you want to avoid that. OCK (t·c)
Forgot to mention. Since it is a text logo the one you uploaded is not copyrighted. I think current tags on the file are correct. OCK (t·c) 10:45, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
