Discussion

i have notability, i have YouTube accounts and a website.

Josh Reiner (talk) 20:52, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please read over our policy WP:BLP that outlines our notability criteria. Against that criteria, and based upon what you've written in the article, you do not meet those requirements. Mkdwtalk 20:54, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)I have a Youtube account too, but that doesn't make me notable enough. What Wikipedia cares about is whether or not reliable sources (newspapers, magazines, books, non-social media web content) have written about you- I'm guessing the answer is no. Also, I've removed your age from your userpage, per WP:YOUNG, which says minors should not reveal this information. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:56, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

so pretty much i mean nothing to this world? Josh Reiner (talk) 20:57, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Having a Wikipedia article is not the benchmark on having "meaning". I have deleted your userpage because it discloses non-public information about you and another individual. If you have further questions, please ask them at the WP:TEAHOUSE -- but keep your questions on topic and in relation to Wikipedia. Questions like "i mean nothing to this world?" are not examples of that. Mkdwtalk 20:59, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) No it doesn't mean you're unimportant, it means that you aren't notable for Wikipedia. Almost everyone in this world isn't notable enough, but Wikipedia is about writing about people/things that are notable enough. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:02, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

who was the other individual? Josh Reiner (talk) 21:01, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your "sibling" and their full name. I strongly suggest you read WP:YOUNG and not disclose any personal information about you or your family on the Internet. Please stop using the {{help me}} template. Simply edit the current discussion and sign your name using ~~~~. Mkdwtalk 21:03, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

but what about all the minor celebrities ages? Josh Reiner (talk) 21:06, 9 July 2015 (UTC).[reply]

Information published in the mainstream media can be used as per our policy on WP:RS. Unless you're a celebrity, the comparison is not the same (WP:OTHERSTUFF). Mkdwtalk 21:09, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

so i am not able to write about myself because no one knows me. Josh Reiner (talk) 21:11, 9 July 2015 (UTC).[reply]

All the criteria can be found at WP:BIO. Mkdwtalk 21:12, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Basically, yes. Although Wikipedia discourages people from writing about themselves even if they are notable- Wikipedia is for biographies, not autobiographies. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:13, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ok thank you i understand if you started with that we would not have had this ridiculous conversation. Josh Reiner (talk) 21:14, 9 July 2015 (UTC).[reply]

We did start with that. In my FIRST edit here I told you to read WP:BIO for "what types of articles can be created". That was some 40 edits ago and I agree would have saved us all some time. Mkdwtalk 21:19, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ok whatever you say, man your rude. Josh Reiner (talk) 21:24, 9 July 2015 (UTC). Create your own user page, to collaborate, share information about yourself, or just practice editing and publishing in your own sandbox explain that.Josh Reiner (talk) 21:31, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I should also advise you to read our policy on no personal attacks. Both Joseph2302 and I showed a lot of patience answering and explaining things that largely went disregarded until very recently. There are certainly other things we could be doing with our time. If we hadn't, it's very likely would you have been outright blocked from editing. You weren't adhering to warnings or advice for the first part and kept re-creating the articles. You then suggested what we should have "started with" an explanation about what articles can be created, to which we actually did start with, and so I agreed that the outcome would have different, but you needed to have taken the time to read it. I think you'll find you'll be treated the same way you treat or behave here on Wikipedia. Mkdwtalk 21:32, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As for your inquiry about userpages, it's all covered in WP:USERPAGE and WP:YOUNG -- both of which have been linked multiple times. You simply again need only read the entire page for a full understanding. Mkdwtalk 21:36, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, im not sorry but no further questions will be asked.Josh Reiner (talk) 21:47, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
