Welcome!

Hi, Clindhartsen/Archive1, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

Additional tips

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

Happy Wiki-ing.

Fox News Watch

Thanxs for fixing up the Fox News Watch page. The infobox really helps! Keep up the good work. =D Jumping cheese 07:23, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Nice job.

The picture of Brit Hume you uploaded is much improved over what was there before. Nice job.  :-) Lawyer2b 00:27, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Ditto above. Also, I'm going to use your PETA userbox. Thanks, bro!!!!!!!! --FairNBalanced 06:02, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Not a problem, and thanks! Chris 13:55, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Vester.png

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Vester.png. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 18:39, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, hopefully the edits I added should help possibly clean up this issue.

what's going on here? It doesn't read easy for those not so familiar with what yer talkin about. something about whether the ticker or the regular CNN logo is on the screen when the show airs? I have noticed that CNN does seem to go out of 24-hour-news-mode when it airs "CNN presents"... um- any additional info you can give me or put in the article would be sa-weet. thanks, CrackityKzz 19:29, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Jane Skinner

Appears we both edited the page at the same time (19:45 13 June 06), with you doing a re-add of the personalities category, and me doing a full revert. You seem to be more knowledgable about this article, so I'll defer to you which version should be kept.... Huntster 01:17, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Page Blanking

On 15-June, you blanked Richland School District. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. I have converted the page to a redirect. In the future, please do not blank a page. If you believe a redirect should be deleted, please follow the redirect portion of the deletion procedures. If you have questions, please let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 14:21, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

I am sorry about that. I transfered the page to Richland School District (Washington) due to the possibiity of multiple ones existing, and I ment to (and will) make the page a disambiguation page, but I see you've already done that.Chris 14:31, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Kiddy Grade

I am not sure why you reverted the page or what your edit summary means. Does the massive white gap between the Characters heading and the template not show on your screen? Shiroi Hane 19:08, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Apparently it doesn't, unless I miss understand what you are talking about. The main reason why I revised it was that it distorted the entire page, with the infobox starting the page on the right, but all of the other text being located below the infobox. Do you have a picture of the problem you are trying to fix? Chris 19:55, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
This is what I was trying to fix and this is what it looked like after. I'm using IE7 at the moment, but I'm going to experiment with other browsers now. Shiroi Hane 20:08, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Hmm.. in Firefox the problem is almost reversed :\ Shiroi Hane 20:10, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
IE6 behaves the same way as IE7 so it's not a beta issue (Mozilla is refusing to load). There must be a way of getting it to work in both. Shiroi Hane 20:16, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
OK, removing the "clear: all" from the character nav template header fixed it, just have to remember to manually clear on pages with any formatting in place above the template. Shiroi Hane 20:22, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Do not delete

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

You Animalfucker, wp has a rule of not deleting relevant content to a article on a talk page. --Enlighter1 06:36, 9 August 2006 (UTC)--Enlighter1 06:36, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
