James Kenji Lopez-Alt, know as Kenji, is an American chef and food writer.[1][2][3][4]. He is the Managing Culinary Director of Serious Eats, a popular food blog, and author of the James Beard Award-nominated column The Food Lab[5]. Kenji graduated from MIT, where he majored in architecture, and worked for America's Test Kitchen in Boston, MA. He is the author of the book "The Food Lab: Better Home Cooking through Science" released September 2015 and published by W. W. Norton[6]
