Information icon Hello, I'm Dennis Bratland. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. • Keep in mind that we do not maintain lists of every single media appearance of a vehicle (or any other product). We only mention those where reliable third party sources (not blogs, fansites, or sites with a conflict of interest) have given us a reason why a particular media appearance mattered in any way, such as having an influence on others, affecting the design or sales of the vehicle, or having a lasting cultural impact. Just showing up is not enough. Self-published fansites and forums like simcarlist.com also fail Wikipedia's criteria for reliable sources. The site ridevideogame.com is not independent of the subject. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 20:11, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Really, an appearance in TV, games, or film is testamount to the importance and/or popularity of a car/bike. Some of these games use a particular model as a selling point on the box, to differentiate from other products. Modelling a vehicle requires significant investment of time and money - producers wouldn't include something they didn't think would see their product. This can also have competitive effect of "having an influence on others" etc.
