3DLT was a Covington, Kentucky based 3D printing marketplace for 3D printing as-a-service.[1] Users of 3DLT design and uploaded 3D printable files and 3DLT worked to print and sell those products.

Company

3DLT was started in 2012 as a place to upload and buy 3D printable files. In August 2013, 3DLT applied to the UpTech accelerator program and was accepted. UpTech provides companies access to resources, connections, and tools during the start-up process.[2]

In May, 2014 3DLT and PieceMaker Technologies announced plans to collaborate, sharing content, technology and in-store marketing and production.[10][11][12][13][14]

In summer of 2014, 3DLT partnered with Amazon.com as a new pilot program in their new 3D printing category. 3DLT is the first company to offer 3D printed products on the world's largest e-commerce website, Amazon.[15][16][17][18]

In February 2014, 3DLT partnered with Authentise to stream its 3D files to customers.[19]
