Randell "Kydd" Jones is an American hiphop artist from Austin, Texas.[1]

Career

He was nicknamed "Kydd" by his older brother Tank Washington for being the youngest kid in a group called Southern Boys which performed at local talent shows; after being picked up by an independent record label in his early teenage years, he joined another group called Impact and started performing at clubs and shows at the age of 15.[2][3] He was personally picked by Chuck D to open for Public Enemy after releasing The Sounds in My Head Pt. 2 and The Righteous LP in 2012.[4][5] In 2013, Jones released a compilation entitled "Anunnaki" and performed at Fun Fun Fun Fest.[6] Kydd performed at NXNE, the Red Bull Sound Select with Danny Brown during SXSW and The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival in 2014.[7][8][9] During 2015, he released the LNS Crew mixtapes and opened for Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber at the Billboard Hot 100 Fest.[10][11][12]
