Early life

Born in Bergen, Fredrik began playing the guitar at a very young age with the inspiration of his father. When he turned 9, he started taking lessons from guitarist Mads Eriksen of local fame, who first introduced Fredrik to the Blues. Three years later, he had over 100 live performances under his record with appearances at several renowned music festivals including the Notodden Blues Festival in Norway and South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.[4][5]

Career

At the age of 16 Fredrik moved to Los Angeles after receiving a scholarship to attend the world-renowned Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Fredrik saw his notability being raised by playing with many respected musicians from around the world, and he was selected as the first runner-up in Guitar Player Magazine’s “Guitar Superstar 2011” competition hosted by legendary guitarist Larry Carlton. After graduating from music studies with honors, Fredrik decided to start his musical penmanship with writing songs and creating music through his own production company named after the mountains surrounding his hometown of Bergen. Fredrik has played guitar on many songs for pop artists and in 2014 he played guitar on Michael Jackson’s posthumous album Xscape.[6] Fredrik has performed on many different television shows including The tonight show featuring Jay Leno, The View, The Today Show, Live with Kelly and Michael, The Doctors and Katie. Fredrik also performed the American National Anthem with Colbie Caillat during the NBA finals of 2014.
