Demimonde

This is dumb, but I don't like the word seduced. It implies a power imbalance, of being forced or, at the very least, convinced into having sex. Dorian did nothing but indicate that he would have sex with a man. Ethan made all the moves. He was not "seduced." Lesssthan (talk) 23:29, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The edit I'm seeing right now, "culminating," is much better than what was there or anything I tried to replace it with. Thank you to whoever made the edit. Lesssthan (talk) 20:07, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article fails to explain show's premise

Having read the whole article this show is apparently a horror drama thriller with many characters and the title refers to printed matter that was "lurid and sensational subject matter" (but the article doesn't state that the title reference accurately reflects the show's content and "lurid and sensational" is a very broad term). None of this is very enlightening as to what the show is about. Would someone knowledgeable about this show please compare this article with the lead sections of Jekyll (TV series) or Doctor Who, where the premises are briefly explained, and then do something similar for this article? Reeve Carney

Why is Reeve Carney listed as the first actor? Timothy Dalton and Eva Green are better known and certainly more popular.--87.184.158.49 (talk) 08:24, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
