AUKOM (“Ausbildung Koordinatenmesstechnik”, German for “Training in Coordinate Measuring Metrology”) association enables training in dimensional metrology, especially in coordinate measuring technology. The AUKOM training is industry standard in dimensional metrology.[1]

Goals of AUKOM

AUKOM ensures the level and comparability of need-based, up-to-date, comparable, reviewable and verifiable training courses. The association improves the cooperation between the manufacturers and users of coordinate measuring machines and has created an international standard for in-depth training in this field.

Articles of association

In accordance with the articles of association, the goal of AUKOM is to ensure need-based, up-to-date, comparable, reviewable and verifiable training in coordinate measuring technology within the scope of its possibilities (responsibility). The association promotes fundamental, extensive and well-founded training in the field of industrial production measuring technology, particularly coordinate measuring technology. The association itself does not offer courses. These are provided by the members of the association who receive instructions and training material from the association. The association ensures the level and comparability of the training courses offered by association members in coordinate measuring technology. It organizes events to promote the exchange of information between manufacturers, users and science in the field of training in coordinate measuring technology and publishes new insights and trends. It develops, promotes and disseminates good coordinate measurement practices, and drives the internationalization of cooperation in dimensional metrology training.
