Kurtlar Vadisi - The Valley of the Wolves was a Turkish television drama which originally aired on Show TV. After discontinuation from Show TV, the show moved to Kanal D and was subsequently acquired by ATV for its final season.
The show focuses on Agent Polat Alemdar, an undercover operative who joins the Mafia and becomes the partner of known Mafia gunman, Süleyman Çakır. The show makes direct and indirect references to Turkish politics and to political history from the viewpoint of an undercover agent.
Kurtlar Vadisi became the most successful TV show in Turkey[1](ratings reached more than 50%). Multiple successful feature films were made based on the show, including Valley of the Wolves: Iraq, Valley of the Wolves: Gladio and Valley of the Wolves: Palestine.
