Backlog
The NPP backlog now stands at 13,158 total unreviewed pages.
Just to recap:
- 13 July 2016: 7,000
- 1 August 2016: 9,000
- 7 August 2016: 10,472
- 16 August 2016: 11,500
- 28 August 2016: 13,158
You naturally don't have to feel obliged, but if there's anything you can do it would be most appreciated. I've spent 40 hours on it this week but it's only a drop in the ocean.--Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 15:21, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
Template update
Oluwa2Chainz, thanks for your recent comment regarding the template update. Can you please confirm where the issues are as it is not completely clear. Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afiamarie (talk • contribs) 17:02, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
An award for you!
The Seychellois Barnstar of National Merit | |
For your fantastic, prolific work on Seychelles topics. I've been looking through your work and you're a really amazing editor, your work is so clean and well researched, and you seem to know exactly what is missing and what needs doing. You're the perfect African editor in a way, I wish I could clone you by a few thousand! Keep up the amazing work you do, especially on Seychelles and Nigeria. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 07:20, 3 September 2016 (UTC) |
I've revamped the contest page into this, based on the new British model. Long term goal I've added entries you've done since July 1st to launch it and give it some life, hope that's OK. I hope it proves productive long term. The contests are still planned, but will be more tools towards increasing bulk output in overall goal. It's a permanent goal now, and open! If you could list every article you create and improve there from now on with the quick note of what you did and your name I would be grateful! I hope that this will inspire others to create more by recording exactly how much improvement is being made every month to wikipedia! Please spread the word to the others, cheers!♦ Dr. Blofeld 07:23, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
Please confirm why you undid a change
Oluwa2Chainz, can you please confirm why you removed the issue of interviewing 19 presidents from the intro... this is a key summary and should have been placed there... also you have not mentioned what are the other issues relating to why you have the issue of promotional content flag at the top, please confirm which part that applies to so it can be removed. Everything is verifiable, but if there is something incorrect please confirm. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afiamarie (talk • contribs) 17:56, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
inconsistencies in wiki page for Novuyo Tshuma
Hello. Yes, I saw you deleted most of my changes. Yes, I realise the part about high school is not referenced. I went to school with Tshuma that's why I added it but without reference you may leave it out. However, there are inconsistencies in the page I tried to fix which were deleted. You in Paradise is actually not a book but a short story. Shadows was published by Kwela Books in South Africa in 2013. Shadows did not make Tshuma to be nominated for Africa39, it does not say that in the sources you referenced. All the writer needed was one published short fiction, that's what it says, even if it's a short story. Many writers with only one published short story made it to Africa39. Tshuma was enlisted into Africa39 for her full body of published work, including the published short fiction she wrote before shadows, and not just for shadows. Those are the inconsistencies I was trying to fix. And Tshuma's full name is Novuyo Rosa Tshuma and not just Novuyo Tshuma. That is what I was trying to fix. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Literature123 (talk • contribs) 13:24, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
incosistencies in wiki page for Novuyo Tshuma
And also, Tshuma is not currently a Maytag Fellow at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. That was 3 years ago. She has finished her MFA. She is now doing her PhD at the University of Houston - see the University of Houston newsletter here for Fall 2016 under 'new students' - http://www.uh.edu/class/english/programs/graduate/creative-writing/_docs/cwp-newsletter/2016%20CWP%20Newsletter.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by Literature123 (talk • contribs) 13:28, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Removal of articles
Hi, can I ask why you removed your articles from the list? I'm guessing the Wiki Loves Women organizers have a problem with it? What we need on this is mutual support and a way to encourage others forward on this. If you don't support this as one of the best editors we have on Africa, then this isn't going to succeed, and long term this could make a huge difference. Email me if you'd rather discuss this offwiki.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:31, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

I would like to update the article
Good Morning Oluwa2Chainz i would like to make update on this article Kiddominant.. You might be thinking why i changed the template from Template:Infobox musical artist to Template:Infobox person... The reason why i did that, is because when you google "List of Nigeria record producer" or "List of Nigeria music producer", Kiddominant doesn't show on the list on google but if you use Template:Infobox person he is going to be on the list.. I have tried it on DJ Spinall article and it work's on google, the reason why is because Template:Infobox musical artist doesn't have where to fill in citizenship but Template:Infobox person has.. You should google to see for yourself.. An after one month then google "List of Nigeria record producer" or "List of Nigeria music producer" then Kiddominant would be on the list only if we use Template:Infobox person... Let try this an see.--Obari2Kay (talk) 06:52, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hello Obari2Kay, I'm afraid your rationale for changing the infobox is invalid. Nothing concerns Google with this and as you already know, Kiddominant is a record producer. —Oluwa2Chainz »» (talk to me) 07:01, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- That true Oluwa2Chainz, but i discovered something i would like to share with you.. Just see for yourself bro.--Obari2Kay (talk) 07:09, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

DYK for Mathilda Twomey
On 24 September 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mathilda Twomey, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Mathilda Twomey is the first female judge in Seychelles? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mathilda Twomey. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mathilda Twomey), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
