"This does not make sense"??

The article says: "Aqueous solutions (up to 90%) can be prepared... This does not make sense."

If it doesn't make sense, it should be removed. No need to make a statement then contradict it. If the point is to disprove a common claim, this could be rephrased as "Despite common claims of aqueous preparations of 90% performic acid, the maximum synthesized strength is X% because...".
