Hearsay Social is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) social media digital marketing platform.[2] for financial services [3][4] that uses predictive analytics to help financial advisors automate marketing tasks. [5][6] The service operates by using social networking platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, as well as advisor websites [7] compliance-friendly text messaging [8][9] and email [10] as a way for advisors to market to various customer bases. Clients include large companies such as Allstate, Raymond James [11] and Thrivent Financial. [12]

The company was founded in 2009 by former Microsoft employee Steve Garrity and Starbucks board member Clara Shih. In 2013, Hearsay raised $30 million in a Series C round, for a total of $51 million. Investors include NEA and Sequoia Capital. [13][14]. The company is currently headquartered in San Francisco, California, with international operations in Europe [15] and Asia. [16].

Technology Hearsay’s technology allows financial advisors to manage digital client communications and marketing from a central dashboard. [17][18][19]
