Aranyosapáti is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. John Pataki, paternal grandfather of the governor of the State of New York, George Pataki, was from Aranyosapáti.

Geography

It covers an area of 21.36 km2 (8 sq mi) and has a population of 2047 people (2015).[1]
