From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sheryl Ann Nields (born September 1, 1967) is an award-winning American photographer known in particular for her portraits and moving photography of entertainment personalities.

Early Years

Some of her earliest work appeared in Spin Magazine. Her early experimentation with a distorted perspective for a photograph of musician Beck featured in the July, 1994 issue of Spin[1] was a precursor to her energetic style and technique of using the photoshoot set as a starting point to capture portrait and fashion images from unique angles incorporating untraditional lighting elements.[2]

Career

Sheryl Nields' work has focused primarily on musicians and celebrities with both still and moving photography. [3] In 2005, Nields was honored by The International Photography Awards (IPA) with a Lucie Award, winning Fashion Layout of the Year[4] with her photography in Angeleno Magazine of Scarlett Johansson. In 2006, she was the recipient of Visionary Lensmaster at the Hollywood Life Movieline Style Awards.[5][6] Her 2006 movie poster for the film Nacho Libre featuring Jack Black received an IMP Award.
