Calandra & Calandra is a musical duo formed by the two brothers Maurizio (Alcamo, 1 October 1969) and Giuseppe (Alcamo, 7 April 1960 ), active since the 1990s.

Biography

After different musical experiences, in 2006 Calandra & Calandra performed a modern reinterpretation of Sicilian folk and popular music, with some echoes of other nations and cultures.[1] Their maintaining the structure of popular melodies has given them the appraisal of a large public, above all for the style and peculiarity of the proposals. In 2014 they produced and realized the event “Premio Internazionale Tenchiu’ Sicily”, later endorsed by the Regional Department of Culture, which took care of the second edition.[2]
