Welcome to the Dragonlance WikiProject. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Dragonlance.

Goals

This WikiProject has been created in order to create, improve and maintain articles related to the Dragonlance series of novels.

Scope

Since this WikiProject is relatively young, it will cover a number of topics that go beyond the Dragonlance novels:

As the WikiProject advances, it may split into several branches to cover the gaming modules and films. However, until this action is necessary, articles related to gaming and films will be covered by this WikiProject.

Parent WikiProject

Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels and Wikipedia:WikiProject Fictional series are the direct parent of this WikiProject. Guidelines set in those WikiProjects will be accepted by this WikiProject when related to novels.

Watchlist

To assist with the maintenance of Dragonlance articles, these entries can be added to your watchlist, however there are a large amount of articles, templates, images, and categories on that page which might make it difficult to add them. Therefore, this function can be used as it will find all recent changes to pages on that watchlist, acting like a watchlist without needing for you to add the entries to your personal watchlist.

Note that this watchlist may not be complete, so any help in revising, improving, and adding more entries to the watchlist are extremely helpful.

Guidelines

Categorization

All pages related to Dragonlance should be categorized in the category most relating to it, as a Dragonlance book cover should not be classified as Category: Dragonlance, but as Category: Dragonlance covers. However, in case of doubt, use Category: Dragonlance and let someone else recategorize it. For an explanation of the categories, please see heading 9, Categories, located below.

Characters

Not only should Dragonlance characters be classified, but they should have an {{DL character}} infobox. For a more detailed explanation on this infobox, please see {{DL character}}.

Tasks

Main

For the main list of articles to work on (including authors, book articles, characters, locations, etc), see here.

Maintanence

  • Add pages to watchlist and revert any vandalism
  • Spell check, grammer check, etc on pages
  • Improve works cited
  • Work on the portal to add trivia questions of the month, etc.

    Portal

  • Work on adding more anecdotes, did you know, images, articles, etc.
  • Maintain it, doing any needed little tasks

    Articles

  • If you have any Dragonlance book available, check if it has a blue link on List of Dragonlance novels, and if not, create an article for them. If it does, look at the existing article and improve it.

    New articles

    Please feel free to list your new Dragonlance-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them should be suggested for the Did you know? box the Main Page as well as adding it to Portal:Dragonlance/Anecdote or Portal:Dragonlance/Question at the bottom of the page.

    Stubs

    There are a large number of stubs related to dragonlance (22). Expanding these stubs is important to the overall dragonlance community. If you can, select a stub from Category:Dragonlance stubs and extend it to article status. Of course, if you find an article that qualifies for a stub that you can't expand, place {{Dragonlance-stub}} at the end and someone else can get to it.

    Articles that have been identified as good articles are listed here. Please help improving the prose of these articles to convert them into featured ones.

    This WikiProject still does not have featured content. If you wish for any to be submitted with the communitys support (after peer review), it can be listed here.

    Infoboxes

      Currently the WikiProject Dragonlance uses {{DL character}} in articles about Dragonlance characters to describe the most important characteristics of the character. For usage, please see the template instructions.

    Navigation templates are used to quickly find a series of related articles, starting from a random one. These templates include navigation boxes ({{Dwarfs of Krynn}} and {{Elves of Krynn}}), family trees ({{Kanan Family}}, {{Majere family}} and {{Pantheon of Dragonlance}}) or timelines ({{Kingpriests of Istar}}, {{Speaker of the Stars}}, {{Ergoth emperor}},and {{Speaker of the Sun}}. New navigation templates should be added at the top of this section.
