Margot Bernice Forde de Ashwin CBE, QSO (1935 – 23, Palmerston North) was a botanist, curator, and New Zealand taxonomist.[1][2]

Margot Forde graduated from Wellington Girls’ College and Victoria University of Wellington where she studied natural history and botany.[3]

Forde researched the plant taxonomies of Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang (China), and the Caucasus.
