Prince Rogers Nelson was Prince's full name. In case you don't know what a full name is, it is a single (one) person's first, middle (sometimes), and last name.

Nelson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1958. He signed to Warner Bros. Records in the 1970s and released several successful albums, most notably Purple Rain in 1984. A few years later, Nelson started his own label called NPG Records and obtained the rights to all of Nelson's Warner Bros. recordings; Warner Bros. only has the right to release them now. Nelson died on April 21, 2016 from a drug overdose. He was 57.
