Commercial exploitation of United States government space programs is any attempt by astronauts or other individuals to profit financially from unauthorized association with National Aeronautics and Space Administration programs, or by improperly implying NASA endorsement of any product or service. NASA seeks to discourage such activity, and has taken disciplinary and legal action against violators.
