Brave New World is the twelfth studio album by heavy metal band Iron Maiden released on the 30th of May, 2000 (see 2000 in music). It marked the return of longtime lead singer Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith to the band. It was also the band's first studio recording with three guitar players. This album is more progressive than their older work, which attracted many fans of the progressive metal genre. The album was a success with the fans of the band, and "The Wicker Man", "Ghost of the Navigator", the title track, "Out of the Silent Planet" and "Blood Brothers" are all established as band classics.
The album art and title song are references to the novel of the same name (see Brave New World).
"The Wicker Man" and "Out of the Silent Planet" were released as singles.
