Coach numbering
I find it hard to believe that UT counts Jim Chaney and Brady Hoke in the numbering of its head football coaches. They were interims who coached 2 games each. It is much more likely that they count Neyland as the 11th, 13th, and 15th head coach since his tenures were broken up by other coaches who coached at least one full season.
