Danielle Rowley (born February 1990[1]) is a Scottish Labour Party politician. She was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Midlothian[2] at the 2017 snap general election.[3]

The daughter of politician Alex Rowley,[4] she was educated at Dalkeith High School and Edinburgh Napier University.[5] Since graduating from university, Rowley has worked for the Scottish Labour Party, the Scottish Parliament, the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations and homeless charity Shelter.[6]

Shortly after her election, she was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry.[7] On 6 September 2017, she was announced as Campaign Chief for Richard Leonard's campaign for the Scottish Labour leadership.[8]
