KORQ is a commercial radio station broadcasting to the Abilene, Texas, area on 96.1 FM.[1] KORQ airs a Top 40 (CHR) format branded as "96Q".

History

On September 11, 2012, the format of 96.1 FM was changed from news/talk "Fox News Abilene" to contemporary hits. The format was moved from KORQ's sister station on 95.1 in Baird, Texas, now KABW "The Wolf".[2]

Programming

Weekdays: Cappy in the Morning 6am, Lisa Thomas 10am, Jackson Blue 3-8pm, Slow Jams w/ R Dub 10pm[3]

Weekend: American Top 40 w/ Ryan Seacrest Sunday 6am-10am,[4] Cappy on the weekend (Saturday) 10:00 am, Sunday Night Slow Jams.[3]
