The discography of the Russian pianist and composer Daniil Trifonov includes seven studio albums, three live albums, one video release, and one compilation. He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon since February 2013, when he signed an exclusive recording contract.[1] Prior to 2013, he had recorded for such labels as Decca Classics,[2] Dux Records,[3] Mariinsky,[4] and Fryderyk Chopin Institute.[5]

Trifonov's discography includes music by Barber,[6] Chopin,[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] Grieg,[6] Kreisler,[10] Liszt,[4][7][8][11] Medtner,[7][8] Mompou,[6] Rachmaninoff,[9][10][12] Ravel,[9] Schubert,[4][13] Schumann,[4][6] Strauss,[9] Scriabin,[7][8][9] and Tchaikovsky,[4][6] in addition to his own compositions.[12] His discography includes collaborations with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra (conducted by Valery Gergiev),[4] the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Wojciech Rajski),[3] the Philadelphia Orchestra (conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin),[12] the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Antoni Wit),[5] and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra (conducted by Mikhail Pletnev).[6] His discography also includes albums of chamber music with such artists as Anne-Sophie Mutter[13] and Gidon Kremer.[10]

Trifonov's recordings have received considerable critical acclaim and commercial success. His album Transcendental (2016) was listed by The New York Times on its list "The Best Classical Music Recordings of 2016"[14] and won the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo.[15] Additionally, Trifonov received Grammy nominations for Rachmaninov Variations (2015) and The Carnegie Recital (2013).[15] Seven of his albums have ranked on Billboard Top Classical Album charts.[16]
