Britney Spears' album was originally scheduled for 2006. People magazine reported that it was scheduled for a November release.[1] However it's been delayed due to Spears' second pregnancy which she announced on May 9 2006.

Spears has confirmed in the recent issue of People magazine that the album will be released next year and that it will be the best of her albums. MTV has confirmed that rapper T-Pain has been asked to produce a few songs for the new album[2] and that Sean Garrett has finished three tracks.[3] Jonathan Rotem, a well-known R&B producer, is now in the studio with Spears. His record label's official site mentioned that he is working on a few songs for Spears' new album, two of which are entitled Everybody and Who Can She Trust. Also Swizz Beatz, along with Sean Garrett, is currently working on the album. [4] Rolling Stone Magazine has recently confirmed that Britney is also working with Nate Hills on her upcoming new album. After giving birth to her second child, Spears is now back in the studio since October 27, 2006. In November 2006, Pharrell Williams announced to People Magazine that he is producing tracks in New York with Britney. Access Hollywood have reported that Britney is in the studio with Scott Storch. Kara Dioguardi has confirmed on her official website, that she's currently working with Britney. She has recently reunited with ex-manager Larry Rudolph, who will be managing her during the recording/release period of the fifth album. It's rumored that Britney plans to announce the title of the album on her official website, closer to the album's completion.
