Warnings on articles

When are warnings on articles removed? I added categories to the article Joel Geddis but the warning is still there. Did I not add enough or does it get reviewed at some point? --PiePellicane (talk) 23:40, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you believe it has enough categories, you can remove the warning! There's no schedule for this, we are all volunteers and the warning would be removed when someone noticed. --Yamla (talk) 11:20, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will remove. I figure someone will add it back if they disagree. Thanks for the help. --PiePellicane (talk) 22:41, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Block of 141.226.195.0/24

I just unblocked 141.226.195.18 following a discussion at User talk:Zvikorn where SQL said that this likely is not a webhost but a regular ISP (which also offers hosting services and doesn't clearly separate the IPs for both services), just to see that 141.226.195.0/24 is also blocked, for longer, for basically the same reason. It appears that there is some collateral damage here. Am I missing something, is SQL mistaken, or should the rangeblock also be lifted? Huon (talk) 03:11, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

According to ipqs, that whole range is Triple C Cloud Computing. All IP addresses in that /24 show up as proxies according to ipqs. Could it be a mistake? Yes. According to their website, they offer cloud computing services, hosting, and ISP services. So then, I'd run an nmap on the specific IP to check if it was part of the cloud computing services (in which case a number of the ports would be open) or part of the ISP services (in which case you'd expect all ports to be closed). Running against just that single IP address shows now that all ports are closed. That's good enough for me, I have lifted the /24 block. I'm obviously not going to scan all 255 addresses in that range. Also, I wish ISPs would stop calling themselves "Cloud Computing" and showing up as proxies in ipqs. --Yamla (talk) 10:01, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for unblocking me

Thank you for unblocking me on Wikipedia. Did you know it is the first anniversary of my unblocking on Wikipedia? Matthew Cenance (talk) 05:01, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, not many people successfully follow that process. I'm really happy to see you have indeed been a constructive contributor to Wikipedia over the past year. :) Thanks for doing all the hard work and demonstrating your value. It's great to see and makes it worthwhile for me to continue with the unblock request reviews. :) --Yamla (talk) 10:43, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

The Admin's Barnstar
I was hoping to have my, for some reason, TPA removed and thanks for doing that. Sorry for putting it in an unblock request. I thought that on the talk page itself was too bold. It was a happy accident for me that you reset the block. Both things I can thank you for doing because having them not in place was making me stressed. You do good work on the English Wikipedia elsewhere, so thanks.

As you can see I'm unblocked now. The disruption leading to my block happened on @CaradhrasAiguo's talk page. I therefore believe you might want to semi protect his talkpage for a few days so I cannot continue the disruption. What I want answered (and was trying to get @CaradhrasAiguo to answer, even reverting an archival bot) I will post on the Teahouse as soon as possible after posting the message. You may wish to notify the user about this post. If you reply (please assume good faith), message me at my talk page. Thanks.111.220.164.171 (talk) 11:10, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
