Thank you for your excellent sourced additions to Maya Stovall. Just a heads up that I removed the ISSUU source, as we do not allow that publisher, since it is essentially self-publishing. I will probably remove a couple of sources in the instances where you have put five sources in a row, per WP:OVERCITE. We only need a couple of sources to establish that she was in the Whitney Biennial, for example. Overall though, great additions! This article meets the WP:ARTIST notability standard as she is in two museums, so it can't be deleted... your contributions will be there a long time.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 01:16, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note and question on conflict of interest editing

[edit]

Based on your contributions, it's starting to look like you might be the article subject. If so, please read WP:COI, as we are not here to act as a promotional vehicle, and subjects are strongly discouraged form editing their own pages. We are also not here to act as a Curriculum Vitae, which the page is starting to become. When you add items with references, please do not add them ten references in a row, per WP:OVERCITE.

So, are related to the article subject, Maya Stovall?ThatMontrealIP (talk) 02:48, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can you add some detail to that? Are you a paid editor? You have marked all of your edits as minor, which is a very particular thing to do. The normal procedure here is that the article gets tagged as an autobiography or $undicslosed paid editing, then if a good explanation is not forthcoming for obvious promotional editing, it is posted at WP:COIN where other editors can look at the article, edit it and remove promotional excesses.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 05:54, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Maya Stovall, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Graywalls (talk) 08:44, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
