FMovies or BMovies is a network of websites that hosts links allowing users to stream or download movies for free.[1][2][3][4] As of April 2019, the network is still active and the current address is fmovies.to.
History
The site was created sometime in 2016[3] (claimed in TorrentFreak article).
The site was blocked from Google searches in December 2016.
The site was sued by ABS-CBN in 2016. They lost the lawsuit and were ordered to pay $210,000 in October of 2017.[3][4]
The location of the site is unclear.
Telia, a Swedish ISP, was ordered to block FMovies along with The Pirate Bay and more in October of 2018.[1]
The site allows users to watch movies hosted from OpenLoad, StreaMango and more.
The site has gone through several domains, including fmovies.to, fmovies.is/se, and bmovies.to/is.[2]
Several clone sites exist.
The site is known for having more potentially malicious ads and popups than other sites such as 123movies.
