Portugal To-do:

Find correct name The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere. The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.

  • Category:History of Portugal: lots to remove there
  • Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

This should be renamed Heteronym (literature) as Pessoa also used them in prose. --Asterion 19:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With a little help for my English

I posted two short texts about two heteronyms of Pessoa: Álvaro de Campos and Ricardo Reis. I'm Portuguese and I know my English is far from flawless... Needless to say, I did my best, but I know my best is not good enough.

One major difficulty is the level of language. I don't want it to sound too formal, "posh", and on the other hand I'm afraid to mix different levels, e.g., to use colloquial and formal words in the very same sentence. I'd like to write something about Alberto Caeiro but I'd rather wait to see the changes and to think about them - I'm an eager learner! So is there anyone who loves Pessoa - and the English language ;) - willing to give me a hand? Thanx a mill! Analogica (talk) 00:03, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this article completely about Pessoa's Heteronyms?

This article should most definitely be about the abstract concept of what a heteronym is. Rather than doing so objectively, it relies on the foundation of the 72 characters Pessoa has made. This is a good essay on Pessoa's heteronyms but as an encyclopedic entry requires some further improvements - most definitely requires a slighter detachment from the example entity of the subject. Please do take note.
