Younger is an American comedy-drama television series that premiered on March 31, 2015, on TV Land. Based on the Pamela Redmond Satran novel of the same name, the series was created by Darren Star, and stars Sutton Foster in the lead role of Liza Miller, a 40-year-old recently divorced mother who, after finding it difficult to get a job at her age, attempts to pass herself off as a 26-year-old in order to start her life over. Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann, and Charles Michael Davis also star in supporting roles. On April 21, 2015, Younger was renewed for a second season of 12 episodes, which premiered in January 2016. On January 6, 2016, Younger was renewed for a third season of 12 episodes, which aired on September 28, 2016. Younger was renewed for a sixth season on June 4, 2018. On July 24, 2019, TV Land renewed the series for a seventh season.

As of September 4, 2019, 84 episodes of Younger have aired, concluding the sixth season.

Using this as leverage, Thad tries to get Liza to stay silent, but Liza says she won't, regardless of the consequences for herself. Just then, a huge beam falls from a crane on top of Thad.

Second, Liza and Kelsey meet with Bryce Reiger (Noah Robbins), a 20-something tech billionaire who is interested in investing in Empirical. Impressed with Liza and Kelsey, Bryce invites them to his loft party. Surrounded by tech geniuses, Kelsey gets one of them to figure out Thad's laptop password. Kelsey decides Thad's crude password, showed his true feelings for her and destroys the laptop. Meanwhile, Josh makes it clear that he is 100 percent back in the relationship with Liza, but Liza is hesitant.

At the office, Bryce proposes a book deal with two YouTube sensations known as the "Stoopid Girls." Liza meets one of the girls and is surprised to find her very intelligent and well-read. She suggests to Bryce that the girl write a book as herself, not as a Stoopid Girl, but Bryce refuses. Bryce then mentions changes he wants to make at Empirical, namely firing the older employees.

Upon arrival, Maggie realizes the boutique caters to Orthodox Jewish women and wonders if she misread Malkie's signals. At an office meeting, Bryce suggests that Empirical look into digital rewrites of some classic novels, such as The Great Gatsby, with alternate endings. This angers Charles, Diana, and Liza. Later, a more traditional book that Diana has been pushing gets favorable reviews and starts selling well. As she rubs it in Bryce's face, Charles hints that Bryce is not right for Empirical and suggests he take his money elsewhere, even though it may mean financial disaster for Empirical. Liza and Josh attend a party being thrown by doctors and Josh asks an OBGYN there about pregnancy over 35. He later asks Liza if she'd ever consider having another child.

Malkie invites Maggie to a nude bathing experience and Maggie convinces Liza to tag along but, when they arrive, they find it is more of a religious ritual than they thought. Meanwhile, Josh's attempts to have sex with Liza in a public place keep getting shut down.

Kelsey meets Colin, a handsome writer from the New Yorker, at the event and they seem to hit it off. Maggie's relationship with Malkie hits a road block when Maggie starts to realize that Malkie is part of a package deal that includes her omnipresent Jewish lesbian friends. Meanwhile, Josh is surprised to learn that Liza has only slept with three men in her life while he has been with many women, so he gives her a "free pass" card as a gift.

Liza does so, but is hit by a car while riding the bike and ends up in the hospital. Charles gets a call that Liza is in the hospital and wants to ditch his date with Radha to see her. Radha tells him that, if he goes to see Liza, they are through. Charles goes anyway, but Liza is in a morphine-induced stupor by then. Charles and David pass in the hall and Liza wakes up briefly when David is in the room and says something meant for Charles. David thinks Liza still has feelings for him. He meets Josh for the first time and insists that he and Liza are not yet divorced. Elsewhere, Kelsey is disappointed when she starts to get romantic with Colin and he asks her to read a novel he wrote.

Liza and Kelsey get EW to do a story on Empirical with Colin as the featured author. This backfires when EW includes an excerpt from Colin's book, causing Random House to make Colin a huge offer that Empirical cannot match. Elsewhere, Josh is disappointed that there is nothing he can do in the bedroom that Liza hasn't already done with her ex-husband, including anal sex. Liza finally lets him do something no one has ever done to her: give her a tattoo. On advice from her therapist, Diana chats up a man named Richard and the two hook up. This causes conflict when her therapist realizes Richard is the marriage and family counselor in the office next door.

Emily from Entertainment Weekly is also there trying to sell her new book idea and she knows about Liza's real age. She promises to keep Liza's secret if Emily's book will be published with Millennial. Kelsey is not keen on publishing Emily's book but Liza announces Emily as a new Millennial author. Josh and Maggie go for a coffee date and Josh admits that he thinks that Liza is 'the one' for him and he doesn't want to lose her. After the book fair party, Charles and Liza go to a concert by the band Berlin. They dance to "Take My Breath Away" and share a kiss. Charles walks Liza to her hotel room and they share another kiss. Josh sees them, then walks away without Liza realising. Liza tells Charles she needs to clear things up with Josh, not realising that Josh had come to the Hamptons to be with her. When Liza enters her hotel room she sees that Josh has written 'marry me' in rose petals on the bed, but he is gone.

Antonia Stewart, a self-help guru, is supposed to publish a new book with Empirical but will only do it if Kelsey and Liza attend her seminar. Liza's ex David is there claiming he wants his wife back. Antonia tells David to call his wife and Liza ducks out to the toilet to take the call. Liza realises that she does love Josh, but when she goes to tell him, he says he can't take any more of her lying and cheating. When Liza gets back home, she sees Kelsey and tells her the truth about herself.

After a couple rounds of drinking, Liza takes a stand and leaves against Kelsey's wishes. The next day, Liza and Kelsey head home only to have Liza receive phone calls from Caitlin that she's in the emergency room due to her appendix bursting. Kelsey realizes why Liza had to lie about her age in the beginning and tells Charles that Liza deserves the promotion. Also, Maggie meets up with Josh and gives him back the belongings that he left at her apartment. At this time, Josh is introduced to and soon hooks up with Montana, the barista friend of Maggie's.

The staff attends her funeral, all dressed in pink per Lacroix's wishes, where a number of other authors and publishers are present. Kelsey introduces herself to spy novelist Lachlan Flynn and attempts to poach him, only to be approached by Zane, an editor from Flynn's publisher, who asks Kelsey out on a date. Liza learns about Josh sleeping with Montana, but she soon meets Diego, an Argentinian architect on assignment in New York, and later sleeps with him. It turns out to be a one night stand after Liza discovers that Diego is married. Elsewhere, Lauren claims her relationship with Max has become traditional and boring, leading to their breakup, while Montana decides to resign as Maggie's assistant, saying she has just scheduled a show of her own.

Charles shows up at the restaurant and tries to act unfazed, but he clearly isn't. Meanwhile, Maggie meets a woman named Donna in a bar. While Maggie thinks Donna is beautiful in almost every way, she can't get past one physical feature.

Liza then tells Charles about the promising author she met, only to learn that Pauline is Charles' ex-wife and that the book is a thinly-veiled tell-all about their marriage and breakup.

They go to a bar to test their theory, but it is Liza who shows up later and successfully sets up Josh with Clare, a sexy Irish bartender. Elsewhere, Diana has to deal with Richard's son living in their apartment, as he takes a "pause" in his college studies.

Charles deduces that Josh caught him and Liza in The Hamptons. Pauline asks Liza to help her find out whom Charles is seeing. Kelsey meets Lachlan Flynn's wife, who is not happy that Kelsey and her husband will be spending a lot of time together. Charles has a moment alone with Liza and asks her to stay the night after the picnic is done. Flustered over Pauline's suspicions, Liza declines. Kelsey later tells Liza she should stay away from Charles, for the sake of everyone in their circle.

Elsewhere, a crestfallen Josh holds a good-bye party for Clare, while Diana learns that Richard has been keeping secrets from her.

Josh travels to Ireland to marry Clare so that she can get an American green card and asks Liza to be his best "man." Josh told Clare about Liza having lied about her age to get her job. Liza tells Josh she is uncomfortable lying to Homeland Security, causing Josh to get offended and tell her to just go home if she can't do it. Clare's friend later exposes the real reason for the marriage at the rehearsal dinner, but Liza steps in and saves the day. Later that night, Josh shows up drunk in Liza's room and kisses her, saying, "It's always been you." She tells him she can't give him the life he wants, but Josh says he wants any life that includes her. He plans how to call off the wedding, then passes out on her bed. The next morning, before the wedding ceremony, Josh tells Liza he needs to marry Clare or he'll keep coming back to Liza when he should be moving on. Liza cries at the wedding ceremony. At Empirical, Zane wants to promote Pauline's book with TV appearances by Charles and Pauline talking about their reconciliation, but Charles says no. Later, Zane cons Charles into appearing live on air. Charles calls Liza just as the bride and groom seal their marriage with a kiss.
