Dmytro Natalukha (Ukrainian: Дмитро Андрійович Наталуха) (born September 15, 1987, Moscow) - Ukrainian politician and public figure, Member of the 9th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada convocation (People's Deputy of Ukraine), human rights activist..,[1] chairman of the Committee on matters of economic development in the 9th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada.[2]

Member of the Servant of the People political party parliamentary faction. Deputy member of the Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.[3]

Early years

Dmytro Natalukha was born on September 15, 1987 in Moscow, but at the age of 3 his parents moved to live in Sumy, Ukraine. After some time, in connection with the work of his father, he moved to Italy. Secondary education Dmytro received in Ukrainian and Italian schools.

After returning to Ukraine, in 2004 he entered Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv at the Faculty of Private International Law, where he received the specialty of an international lawyer. In addition, he is a translator and interpreter from French. In 2010, he received a master's degree. His master's thesis was on the theme of “Resolution of territorial disputes in international law”.

In 2014 graduated the Master's Program in International Politics at the University of Cambridge (Fitzwilliam College), UK, a specialist in national strategy, political economy and policy of China. He is the Head of the Cambridge University Ukrainian Society. [4] He defended his master's thesis on "Problems of the formation of the political elite in Ukraine after 2004.".[5]

Career

While still a student at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Dmytro Natalukha began working in law firms. Since 2007 to 2009 he worked with Real Estate & Land Law, International Investment at “Spenser & Kauffmann” Attorneys at law” Kyiv, Ukraine. After getting his degree (2010 - 2011) he started working for at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm Kyiv, Ukraine. He specialized in International Investment, Banking and Finance, Litigation.

In 2011 Dmytro started with “Baker & McKenzie CIS Limited” Kyiv, Ukraine. In this international law firm he g=has greatly improved his skills at Banking and Finance, International Investment, etc. He continued working there until 2013.

In 2014, in connection with his education Dytro Natalukha moved to England. Working in London, he was engaged in the “Project for Democratic Union” as Associate Researcher in International politics, national strategy, problems of European integration.

After returning to Ukraine in 2014 Dmytro worked at “HIAS” / “Right to Protection” (Executive Partner Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees). Kyiv, Ukraine. (Advocacy, internally displaced persons, human rights, lobbying the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons, as well as coverage of IDPs' problems in Ukraine).

In 2015 he was appointed the head of the Kominternivsky District State Administration of Odessa region. Kominternovske, Odesa Region. He was engaged to public service untill 2017.

After 1.5 years of work in the public service, Natalukha founded the company “Lead / Augury” where he worked before was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, which deals with Public authorities relations, branding, political consulting.[1]

Political career

On June 26, 2019, The Central Election Commission of Ukraine registered Dmytro Natalukha as a candidate for deputy from the Servant of the People party.

According to the results of early parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2019, Dmytro Natalukha was elected to the Verkhovna Rada.

On August 29, 2019, he took the oath of the People's Deputy. In Parliament of the 9th convocation, he was appointed the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development.

As of October 2, 2019 Dmytro Natalukha participated in the development of 19 submitted to Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada legislative acts proposals, 11 of which became valid legislative acts. Key laws include:

Community Activities

Natalukha was the chairman and co-founder of the Alumni Club of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv International Relations Institute, which brings together and organizes graduates meetings of the Institute of various specialties and years of graduation such as Vasyl Gorbal, Volodymyr Ogryzko, Grigol Katamadze, Borys Tarasyuk, Volodymyr Vasilenko, Mikheil Saakashvili [6]

Dmytro was also a head of the Society of Ukrainians at Cambridge University (CUUS), which brings together Ukrainian students at Cambridge and a leader of the Ardea Alba IIB Alumni Club, which brings together local and international IIR alumni [2].

After his graduation for Cambridge University he coordinated the Professional Government Initiative (brought together about 2000 Ukrainians graduated from foreign universities).

Since 2014 - an activist of Euromaidan. Supported Revolution of Dignity.

Dmytro is the founder of the Ukrainian Institute on Territory Branding. His professional background is the communication models and PR.

Education

  • 20042010 — KNU Institute of International Relations. Faculty of Private International Law. International lawyer, translator-referent from French. He defended his master's thesis on "Settlement of territorial disputes in international law", in which as an example he took the unofficial political claims of some Russian politicians on the Crimean peninsula and Sevastopil in particular.
  • 20132014 — University of Cambridge, Cambridge, United Kingdom. Faculty of International Politics and Relations. College Fitzwilliam, Vice President of the College Student Council. Specialist in China's national strategy, political economy and policy. He defended his master's thesis on "Problems of Formation of the Political Elite in Ukraine after 2004". He wrote analytical materials and articles on developments in Ukraine for Europe's leading research centers[7]
