Ross A. Myers is an American naval aviator and Vice admiral in the United States Navy, serving as deputy commander of the United States Cyber Command since May 2019.[1][2] As a naval aviator, has commanded at several warships and military units, including fleet replacement squadron, Carrier air wing, and air group.

As part of Sailors' Union of the Pacific, he served twice at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, as a commander for Carrier Air Wing Five military unit stationed at Japan.[3]

Education

Ross did his graduation with Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Kansas State University and later, went to University of Kansas where he did Master of Business Administration (MBA). After completing his master's degree, he then attended National War College where Ross did Master of Science in National Security Strategy.[4]

Career

Ross was born in Garden City, Kansas, Midwest. At shore and staff tours, Ross was serving as a flag aide for commander in chief at Allied Naval Forces Southern Europe, including Italy as well as Allied Joint Force Command Naples. Later, he was appointed as a commander in chief for United States Naval Force stationed at Europe, London, and England. As a joint assessments analyst and executive assistant for assessments, resources, and warfare requirements, he served to the Vice Chief of Naval Operations. Later, deputy executive assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations. He was later appointed to assistant deputy director for global operations, joint staff, and executive assistant to vice chairman and Joint Chiefs of Staff. As a flag officer, he served as deputy director at United States Department of Homeland Security for Nuclear department, and director of Plans and Policy. In May 2019, Myers reached to the rank of Vice admiral and was promoted to deputy commander of United States Cyber Command.[4][5]
