About that IP and the Goguryeo and Balhae talk pages...

Good morning (my time zone). I just blocked the most recent IP used by the editor whose edits you have been reverting at Talk:Goguryeo and Talk:Balhae. Edits such as these [1] [2] have caused him to cross the bright line laid down in WP:No legal threats. Feel free to immediately report any new IP at WP:ANI for that IP to also be blocked. You may reference the block log of 109.239.217.154 and mention that the user has been hopping across multiple IPs, harassing users and issuing legal threats.

Up until about a day ago, I thought it would have been better for you to rebut the claims made by the IP. However, the conduct of the IP has raised enough doubts in my mind that they are commenting on the talk page in good faith that I have reverted their additions. You are probably in the clear to continue reverting; however, it would be a really good idea to report them and note that this user, at other IPs, has already been subject to Wikipedia administrative actions because of this conduct. —C.Fred (talk) 11:36, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

One other thing. If there's some longer-term history of this IP's conduct (i.e., this is a pattern that's been going on a long time), share some diffs with me, so I can see more of the backstory. —C.Fred (talk) 11:37, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio in a nutshell

Wikipedia is the world's largest free content encyclopedia. As such, it cannot contain content copyrighted elsewhere. Such content must be removed immediately and completely rewritten and reformatted from scratch. Content published elsewhere copied into Wikipedia must state that it is public domain, licensed under the GFDL, or a creative commons license. That's the simple version. WP:copyright is a vastly complex issue, but if you keep to what I've written you are unlikely to run afoul. I hope you now understand to under no circumstance restore copvio material. Cheers, DlohCierekim 16:37, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I know, the last few weeks have been pretty tiring and i have had much to do, as such i might not always make the best decisions. It is also not the first time lately that i have had to deal with an IP removing large sections of an article, most of what i do is expanding/adding infoboxes and combating vandalism. A cheeseburger for you!

Thank you for reverting the vandalism on my talk page. puggo (talk) 23:07, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to WikiProject Socialism

Democratic party of Korea

Hi I'm Jeff6045. The reason why I write this is to get some help from you. Since you have long career as WP user I think your advice will be very helpful. Some users are trying to inject their own political view to Democratic Party of Korea.I think their behavior is considered to be WP:POINTy . One of users think that the party has socialism as ideology by faction or it is pro-north korea and try to inject their view on the article. However all of their theory is based on opposition party's theory or right-leaning Japanese media. (Today, Japan is having trade war with Korea. I think Japanese media can't make rational view on korea's rulling party.) I think their behavior is completely against WP's policy. Do you know how to handle these users or solve this problem? Jeff6045 07:06, 28 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Jeff. I think it is important to verify sources to see whether they are reliable or not, if others are deliberately disrupting the article then you should give them warnings and possibly report them if they ignore your warnings, if they use several IP’s then you might want to apply for article protection! Currently I am at my family cabin and won’t be able to intervene before next Sunday! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 12:40, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Aryan Brotherhood BRD cycle

Hello, I'd like to invite you to the talk page for the Aryan Brotherhood article you recently reverted. I'm a new editor and I want to make a habit of establishing dialogue around any contentious edits I'm party to. I feel like I may have jumped in at the deep end by making an edit to a controversial topic, but maybe with your help this could become my first experience with the BRD cycle and learning first-hand how consensus is built. Page Vandalism

Hi, an editor named Rbsind is continuously adding persnoal analysis to vandalise All India Trinamool Congress. Should we seek for the help of any administrator? DeoxysX (talk) 20:22, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this continues i might perhaps request temporary page protection. Would not be supprised if i am forced to apply for PP before the end of the day! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 20:30, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

May be a mistake

Good afternoon! I think you mistook my edits in Bengal Sultanate as vandalism. They are all well sourced which I have also explained in the edit summaries. I appreciate your efforts to fight the vandals; please keep up the good work. Thanks!

Left Bloc (Croatia)

I am sorry that I did not write a summary, I should have done that, sorry for that. Your info on that coalition is outdated. The coalition changed its name to Green-Left Coalition, and on the national stage they are going with a program, which can be summarized as; green socialism for the 21st century. Stating that their ideology is "Big Tent" is completely false. I don't understand, are you saying, that we should go with your analysis, when you are obviously completely unfamiliar with the political situation in Croatia? --Tuvixer (talk) 08:35, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The overall problem is that the article relies entirely on one source, and it needs more sources to back up things like a name-change or an ideological program like you are referring too. Another problem is the fact that foreign editors are supposed to be able to edit the article, which is hard if there are no english-language sources! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 10:56, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake alert!

Invitation to RedWarn

Hello, Vif12vf! I'm Ed6767. I noticed you have been using Twinkle and was wondering if you'd like to beta my new tool called RedWarn, specifically designed to improve your editing experience.

Direction - social democracy

Hi Vif12vf, you're probably right that it's a better source. Euroactiv is really respected and is probably more serious than Noredea trade. But I want to tell you that Direction - social democracy is really the left wing. After the departure of a prominent member Petr Pellegrini and his group, he no longer has any pro-European direction. He has one MP, his name is Lubos Blaha, who is a nationalist communist, and the party's chairman, Robert Fico, speaks of him as the party's future. Please try a little study. Direction has always been a traditionally populist and nationalist party, but in recent years, after a large and long-term decline in popularity, it has begun to go significantly from left to far left, trying to maintain such popularity. All Slovak political scientists and the media talk about it. Only foreign media are not as well informed and in the picture as the domestic ones, because as a person interested in politics, you certainly know that this is the case. Please believe me in this, I am from Slovakia and I am very interested in politics. After all, try to find a Slovak article about it and translate it in the translator. Thank you for your answer. :) --178.143.101.108 (talk) 12:19, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for being a talk page stalker, Vif12vf. To respond to you, 178.143.101.108, you may very well be right. However, this change counts as original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. Please find sources for the claims you make. Since you say, "All Slovak political scientists and the media talk about it," this shouldn't be too hard; sources in Slovak count as reliable sources too. PAC

Hi there! I'm writing about your recent edits regarding Pan Africanist Congress of Azania. You were actually correct that the party does espouse a form of African Socialism, though it is non-Marxist and some sources report it denies the concept of class struggle. This, alongside its anticommunist stance would make it a form of right-wing socialism that isn't very common to see. I'm trying to determine if the party is left-wing in general or not. I've noted your interest in the subject, as well as your experience with leftist organizations. Presently, the party is listed as "Left-wing to far-left", but no citation for this is given. Their ideology appears to include elements of both left-wing thought and right-wing identarianism. I would like to ask you for your opinion on the matter or if you have any better sources, which might clarify the party's position. In the meantime, I've readded your characterization of its ideology as 'African Socialism', though with a caveat that it rejected Marxism. Cheers and have a nice day! Disruptive Editing (Wrongfully Accused)

Hello. I am Bashore101 (talk).

Recently, you have tagged my edits to South Korea's Basic Income Party as disruptive. This is false. My edits have updated the party's colour, which they have recently changed to mint green. [1] Their old colour of salmon was too similar to the conservative United Future Party's colour of pink. Any look on the Basic Income Party's social media can verify this change.

The colour should not be updated before the logo, which in that case is completely necessary! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 10:31, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hacked account

Sorry someone else was using my account. Kanto7 (talk) 11:36, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your edits on Federalist Party.

The political alignment section you keep reverting to was vandalism added by an IP four days ago (notice that they inaccurately changed the quote to support their edit, which is how it's clear it's vandalism.) Multiple people tried to fix it and you accused them of vandalism. Please be more cautious in the future - I know it was probably alarming seeing IPs and red-name accounts changing something in an infobox when a casual glance at the (vandalized) quote in the citation seemed to contradict it, but by the third time it happened from a totally different account you ought to have at least glanced at the article history or talk page to see what was up; checking either one would have made it immediately clear that the version you were reverting to was the actual vandalism and was unsupported by the sources. --Aquillion (talk) 20:14, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edits by anonymous IP user in Portuguese political parties' pages

Good evening, Could you revert the last changes made by an IP which massively adds an unnecessary parameter in the infoboxes of Portuguese political parties? I have reverted some of these changes, but he persists. Thank you in advance. --Martopa (talk) 19:09, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think i have done them all, as well as giving the person all levels of warning. If the IP persists, please tell me and i will report it! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 19:49, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Golden Dawn (political party) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
