Sarva Yoga (commonly known as Sarva), is an Indian yoga studio chain founded in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Founded by Sarvesh Shashi in 2013 earlier known as Zorba[1], the company was renamed as Sarva Yoga Studio in March 2016. The brand is co-founded by Bollywood actress Malaika Arora[2]

Started in Chennai as a single store unit, Sarva is now in 30 cities with 90 stores in India and in 3 locations in London.[3] In the year 2020, Sarva also launched it's digital format for yoga training.[4]

History

Sarvesh, the founder of Sarva had his first exposure to Yoga at the age of 17, when his father when his father, Shashi Kumar (chairman of the Chennai-based conglomerate, Sabari Group) took up an expensive class and could not continue it[5]. After seeing the benefits of Yoga in himself, Sarvesh, with the help of his mentor Vijayendra, started the yoga brand Zorba in 2013[6]. Zorba in Greek means living each day to the fullest. The brand was later renamed as Sarva which means "all" in Sanskrit[5]
